Indigo Market Totes

I was inspired after reading Pokey's blog about the Market Totes By Kathy Mack in the recent Quilt Scene Magazine. I brought out all of my Indigo dyed fabrics and started sewing! Guess what my friends are getting for Christmas!

Interpretations in Black & White

These 2 new 12" square quilts will be displayed for purchase at Quilt Visions in San Diego during their Members Show coming this month. I pre-stitched the canvas piece with black thread and then silkscreen and thermofaxed black and white fabric paints. I attached some of my newsprint on organza as well as white wedding satin pieces. Some more stitching was sewn on top.

Just learned that my "Roundabout Reds" Quilt will be in the new 500 Art Quilts Book by Lark Books due out in Spring 2010!!!!

Missing Houston

I'm missing not going to the Quilt Festival in Houston but my "Roundabout Greys" made the trip. So if you're in the area of Houston this weekend, go by and view the "Edges" Exhibit.

Italian Celebration

"Italian Celebration" was recently finished . It's a "Stitch and Paint on Canvas" process that is currently in the Oct/Nov issue of Quilting Arts.

Exhibit in Fullerton

Two of my quilts will be displayed at The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, CA. More than 30 non-traditional quilts by 16 artists will be exhibited from October 11- December 31, 2009.
